Director Awarded Scholarship for
Kennedy Center Initiative
Serenity Players is pleased to announce that Executive Director Gertrude J. Saleh has been chosen to participate in the Kennedy Center 's Capacity Building Initiative. The program, launched in 2002, provides strategic planning guidance and other technical assistance for Executive Directors, Artistic Directors and Board Members for non-profits who produce and present work for, by or about under represented cultures and communities. Thanks to collaboration with Barbara Harman and the Catalogue for Philanthropy, Ms. Saleh will receive full scholarship to satisfy tuition and other related program expenses. Topics will include everything from board management to marketing strategy.
