The demand for non-profit funding is at an all time high, and we need your help to ensure that our donor campaign is a tremendous success. As of July 15th, Serenity Players officially began its 2007 Annual Donor Campaign. So please join us in bringing live professional theatre to the East of the River community.
Since 1983, our mission as a non-profit, 501(c)(3) community-based theatre organization has always centered on bridging the societal gaps through truth, self-expression, dramatic arts and cultural heritage. Serenity Players is entirely dedicated to presenting new and original works that are sacred and imperative to the preservation of a broad segment of the community. It goes without saying that none of this is possible without the generous consideration of our donors.
Our target for this year's campaign is $25,000. In reaching this goal, you will help us ensure that our work is continued and successful for the upcoming season. Your monetary gift will make a tremendous difference in our community by ensuring that -

"Seats on Serenity" or our "SOS Program" continues providing free tickets for individuals with Down's Syndrome, the Model Secondary School for the Deaf/Gallaudet University, the Senior Center for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing program, the DC Office on Aging and East of the River schools and youth programs;

" Serenity Players can continue providing subsidized transportation for seniors and school children attending performances; " Partnerships and collaborations with other cultural arts organizations and programs are created to increase resources and maximize outreach efforts;

" Developmental opportunities in the form of internships and volunteer assignments are generated for at-risk youth at Covenant House Washington, students from the Duke Ellington School for the Arts and other underserved members of the community; and

" Implementation of a sound marketing strategy enhances Serenity Players' visibility and increases our impact on the community and region.
